Passport Info

A U.S. passport is a requirement to participate in any oversees missions trips including Vizcaino and La Posada. The state department says the it can take up to eight weeks to get a passport, but be aware that it could possibly take longer.

If you have a passport: please check the expiration date to make sure that it will still be valid for your trip. If you don’t have a passport submit you application as soon as possible.

Alternatively, you can apply for the less expensive “Passport Card” that is good for crossing the border between Mexico and the United States. According to the U.S. Passport website,

“The passport card will facilitate entry and expedite document processing at U.S. land and sea ports-of-entry when arriving from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The card may not be used to travel by air. It will otherwise carry the rights and privileges of the U.S. passport book and will be adjudicated to the exact same standards. “

If you plan to go with Calvary Chapel Pomona Valley on any mission trips to countries other than Mexico, you will still need to obtain a regular passport.
